    you will find a number of new announcements posted today, our first day together. Chris Martin, ModPo's own IT guru, offers some tips on using the Coursera site. The most recent announcement, as of this mailing, is a 15-minute audio update recorded a few minutes ago by me and Julia Bloch (our lead TA). In it we talk about a few remarkable conversations that have taken place today in the discussion forums; we also talk about Dickinson and why, it seems to us, her open-ended poetry is so apt for our format (the wide-open MOOC).

    If you haven't come into the ModPo site yet, please join us. The discussion forums have been extremely lively. Don't be overwhelmed by them. Pick a topic that interests you, read others' comments, and then perhaps offer a short response of your own. It's easy to do.

    The ideal pattern is this: a) read one of the Week 1 poems; b) watch the video on that poem; and c) go to the discussion forum set up for conversations about that poem.

    Los Juegos Mundiales 2013 Cali

    8 países en Suramericano Gimnasia Rítmica

    178 deportistas de Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Ecuador, Perú, Venezuela y Colombia, participarán del 20 al 23 de septiembre en el Campeonato Suramericano de Gimnasia Rítmica Deportiva.

    Brasil con 42 gimnastas, Venezuela con 40 y Colombia con 22 deportistas, son los países con mayor participación para el campeonato, realizado por la organización de las justas mundiales a efectuarse en Santiago de Cali, entre el 25 de julio y el 4 de agosto del 2013 y forma parte de los eventos Pre juegos Mundiales.

    Brasil con 42 gimnastas, Venezuela con 40 y Colombia con 22 deportistas, son los países con mayor participación para el campeonato, realizado por la organización de las justas mundiales a efectuarse en Santiago de Cali, entre el 25 de julio y el 4 de agosto del 2013 y forma parte de los eventos Pre juegos Mundiales.

    Espectaculares rutinas sacadas de la habilidad de las gimnastas se presentarán en categorías juvenil y mayores, en una combinación de arte y deporte para competencias de pelota, aros, cuerda, mazas y cintas, en intervenciones individuales y en conjunto que serán la base de las puntuaciones de los jueces para la entrega de los trofeos que distinguirán a los campeones en el coliseo El Pueblo.

    NOTA: Para efectos del cubrimiento periodístico del Campeonato Suramericano de Gimnasia, los representantes de los medios de comunicación se deben acreditar de manera anticipada para que puedan cumplir con las labores informativas. Para ello deben diligenciar el formulario anexo a este boletín y enviarlo con fotografía formato JPG, tamaño 4X3. Los 2 archivos deben adjuntarse de manera independiente.

    Biblioteca Departamental Jorge Garcés Borrero que ofrece el ciclo de Amores
